Our Favorite Son

Whenever I look at this adorable face I just melt.  Robb is growing up too fast as well as the rest of my little darlings.  Dwane keeps telling me we just have to stop feeding them and then they will stop growing, which also means we don't have to buy new clothes either.  But then again it is so fun to see how they change and become these amazing people.  Robb turned 11 this year and is full of life he is playing the sax, football and soccer.  He loves his video games and has great friends at school.  He already has his teacher smitten with those big blue eyes and easy going demeanor.  Heaven forbid if he ever has a male teacher, he really is a charmer.  I know, I have fallen into the spell many times.

Robb had a great birthday he wanted puffy oven pancakes and berries for breakfast, Baracoca Pork for dinner and Cheesecake for dessert.  He has an advance palate that keeps us hopping.  Thank goodness for Cafe Rio, so that the dinner desire didn't have to be homemade.  Robb not being a birthday party kind of guy took his best buddy to ride Go-Karts and play Laser-Tag and Video games.  They had a blast not to mention Robb loved that his Dad was the chaperone it really doesn't get any better.

The "Ninja Vanish" shirt, this was a huge hit at school, I guess "Ninja" is the 6th grade word for something that is really cool.

Breakfast with the fam.

More birthday Cheese

And a little something to feed that video game addiction.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Cousins are in the house....

.... even with a leaky roof and a flooding basement, we managed a very fun spring break with the cousins.  Lara and her husband Mario braved the 11 hour trip only to arrive on the doorstep of a complete stranger with all five kids in tow.  Thank goodness the man was polite and cell phones have been invented.  They finally found us around mid night and I don't know who was more excited, us or them.  The kids were instantly bonded.  We didn't she Joshua 11 and Robb the whole week, Kate, Alexa and Emily 8 were the same.  They were too busy "Hanging Out".  Madeline was instant friends with Deanna 9 who is autistic, Matthew was busy always with something and the baby, Holy Cow he is too cute and just fun to watch and snuggle.

The Mother's Day gift confession...

Alexa gave me a lovely coupon box.  She told me that I was to take one coupon out everyday so she could do something nice for me.  I was very excited and the coupon tasks were adorable.  About three days into the coupon service during the evening Alexa climbed up in bed with Dwane and I, just to chat.  During
"The Chat" she asked me if I was liking the coupon box?  I told her yes, and then she says, "I was really thinking about adding some blank coupons, just so that I could have a few days off".

My one and only...

..... darling brother and his 13 year old daughter came to visit.  We attempted the conference experience and we were100 people off from attending:( But having fun was still in the cards.  The kids stayed warm by touring the visitor centers and the tabernacle and we did end up attending the broadcast of conference in the Tabernacle which was really awesome.  My brother visited friends and Kali was a great help when I volunteer at the school, she played tea party with Kate, and the kids loved having her around.  We even made room for a ski trip.  Brothers are the Best!

Temple Square. (My apologies, I know my five finger forehead is glowing, it is never good when I try to sport the no bang look.)
