Girls Rock As Scouts!

Madeline has been so fun to watch with her friends at Brownies. She is such a delight and a born leader. 8 and 9 year old girls are so funny and their energy level, I don't think there are words to describe it. It is so much FUN! We are just finishing our cookie sales, I am so glad that these delicious/dangerous things are only sold once a year. (The worst is knowing were to get them in large amounts). Madeline and her buddy rode their scooters in very cold temperatures to make sure that they hit every house in the neighborhood. Their efforts were rewarded, both selling over 50 boxes.

Future Scout! Before you get to sell the cookies you have to learn how to man the cookie wagon!

Madeline getting the Cooking, Around the World, and Community Service patches. Good Job!

Miss Maddie!

Madeline and her "Activity Day" buddies, went on a field trip to Mt Vernon in celebration of George's birthday! ( I love living in this area! History, History, History) They were able to see the grounds, his tomb and a reenactment of period soldiers. Mt. Vernon overlooks the Potomac, the view is breathtaking obviously to wonderful that I forgot to take a picture! The weather, company and surroundings couldn't have been lovelier.

George looks pretty good for being over 200 years old. We even got to shake his hand!
They shot right at us! It was a strange feeling to be shot at, never experienced that before.

Puppy Love!

This one is for you Pernille!
We have finally had to explain to Kate that not all animals
are friendly, she will chase animals down just so she can throw her
arms around their necks and love them.

Along For The Ride!

So I was trying to be thrifty for a Brownie event and use my awesome mop pole for a flag pole. Some one else must have thought it was awesome too.(Sorry Mom, I will find a new one online)
So here we are doing it the old fashion way with Kate in tow, Who needs work out videos?(For those of you who are not familiar with my home, my entire second story is hardwoods, YIKES)

Happy Birthday Dwane!

To a wonderful man who makes my heart tick and is the love of my life!
(These pictures make me smile every time I see them)
The best gift he got was a card made from our daughter Alexa (4)!
It was a illustration of a large yellow and brown object that we latter found out
was a "Beautiful Shining Potato"
